Rumford Hospital provides women's primary health care through its Swift River Health Care, Elsemore Dixfield Center and River Valley Internal Medicine offices. It is our mission to ensure that the highest quality women's health services are accessible to all women. Our team includes a board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist, four family practice physicians, three internal medicine physicians and a Family Nurse Practitioner and provides women's health care throughout the lifespan, from education about puberty changes and preventative GYN care through contraceptive counseling, obstetrical care, infertility, and the peri- and postmenopausal periods. In addition to our outpatient services, our Obstetrician/Gynecologist specializes in gynecologic surgeries.

Diagnostic services available at RH include mammography, breast and pelvic ultrasonography, pelvic CT scanning, mobile DEXA (osteoporosis) scanning, and laboratory testing including glucose, thyroid function and cholesterol screening.

Rumford Hospital is proud to sponsor several events every year honoring women's special health needs, including an Annual Women's Health Fair, an annual Breast and Cervical Health clinic, and free osteoporosis screening.
