Comprehensive prenatal care services are offered by our team of family practice physicians, nurse midwife and Obstetrician-Gynecologist at Rumford Hospital's two primary care offices: Swift River Health Care and the Elsemore Dixfield Center. Laboratory services and obstetrical ultrasound are available at Rumford Hospital. Prenatal Services available at the Special Delivery Family Birthing Center include our popular Centering Pregnancy program, Childbirth Education, Hypnobirthing instruction, a sibling class, lactation consultation to help prepare for breastfeeding, and a prenatal smoking cessation program, entitled "Every Mother's Wish".

The Special Delivery staff meets with each expectant mother to assist her in obtaining the resources she needs for a healthy pregnancy and a joyful homecoming after birth.
