What is Cardiac Rehabilitation?
Rumford Hospital offers an educational program for people
with heart disease. This is an individually tailored program
of education, exercise, relaxation and support based on the
whole-person approach to wellness. The patient's family or
significant other is urged to participate.
What you can expect as a cardiac rehabilitation participant:
Special attention to your individual health and educational
needs.
A skilled and caring staff of professionals who will listen
to your wellness concerns.
A safe and comfortable learning environment.
Well informed instructors.
An opportunity to reach your highest possible level of
physical, psychosocial and emotional function.
An opportunity to offer support to and be supported by
others who are living with cardiac disease.
How to become a cardiac rehabilitation participant:
Your physician or health care provider may refer you for
cardiac rehabilitation services by calling Rumford Hospital
Specialty Clinics at 207-369-1130.
Payment Information
The Cardiac Rehabilitation program is covered by most insurance
companies and third party payers such as Medicare, Medicaid,
Blue Cross and Healthsource. If you have any type of health
insurance, Rumford Hospital will bill your insurance company.
You may want to call your insurance company to confirm that
they will cover the cost of the program. If you need additional
assistance, you may contact the RH Business Office at 1-888-869-3101.
If you do not have health insurance or if you would like
to make payment arrangements, please contact the Rumford Hospital
Business Office. We will be happy to assist you in any way
