Student Nurses

Rumford Hospital is a clinical training site for the Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing (SON).  The CMMC SON program at the Rumford Mexico University College provides an ideal setting for these students, many of whom are non-traditional.  Nurses who train at Rumford Hospital often return to work here following graduation.

The Rumford Hospital Radiology Department also hosts students who are interested in the breadth of experience they can gain in a rural hospital.

Rumford Hospital and its Auxiliary have a Loan/Scholarship program, which grants loans to student nurses and people studying for other professions in the field of medicine.   When these students return to work at Rumford Hospital or Rumford Community Home, their loans are forgiven and are treated as scholarships.

For more information about the Loan/Scholarship program, call Diana Lemelin at 369-1032.
